UK Scientific Publishing Limited was established in the United Kingdom in 2020, with a primary focus on promoting open science and facilitating the sharing of knowledge. Our core objective is to provide scholars worldwide with opportunities for academic exchange and publishing. We are fully dedicated to upholding our values and continuously enhancing the development of various disciplines.

We actively collaborate with renowned universities, research institutes, and indexation databases, fostering strong partnerships with them. This collaboration allows us to stay at the forefront of scientific advancements and ensure the dissemination of cutting-edge research.

We offer scholars a wide range of academic journals covering various subjects, with the aim of simplifying the scholarly publishing process. Open Access Policy

Journals in UK Scientific Publishing Limited provides immediate Gold Open Access to its content as it believes that making research freely available to the public helps promote the research results benefiting the scholarly community.

At present, we have established four journals and have successfully recruited over 200 esteemed senior experts who have made significant contributions to our publications. These experts will continue to contribute further to our journals. Additionally, we are actively engaged in planning and striving to establish additional scientific journals to support the advancement of academia.

Editorial Board Responsibilities and Benefits:

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief dominates in advocating for the journal and their field of study. They oversee journal’s operations, striving to guarantee its triumph within the scientific community. The Editor-in-Chief bears the responsibility of upholding the journal's scientific standards and fostering its growth. The term of Editor-in-Chief is 2 years and can be renewed.

Duties:

  • Determining and optimizing the aim and scope of the journal annually.
  • Recommending and inviting board members, motivating their contributions, ensuring diversity and specialization within the board, and chairing the annual editorial board meeting.
  • Controlling the quality of articles, supervising the quality of peer reviews, and making the final decision on submission acceptability in case of disagreements among board members.
  • Enhancing the impact of the journal, attracting more readers, increasing the number of articles published, and improving their citation rate and impact.
  • Communicating closely with with In-house and Associate Editors at least once every season.
  • Following and ensuring the journal follows the best practices in scholarly publishing and handling disputes.

Privileges:

  • During the term of Editor-in-Chief, three manuscripts recommended by the Editor-in-Chief can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges every year, and the other recommended manuscripts can enjoy 50% discounts. Once the journal is indexed by Scopus, EI, or ESCI databases, five manuscripts recommended by the Editor-in-Chief can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges every year, and the other recommended manuscripts can enjoy 50% discounts.
  • Editor-in-chief certificate.
  • A reward of 200 USD would be given per time when the Editor-in-Chief promotes the journal in his/her PPT during academic conferences.
  • The Editor-in-Chief, who has made an outstanding contribution to the journal, will be advertised on our website and social media, and awarded at least 1000 USD in December of the year. Otherwise, the Editorial Office would donate an equivalent amount of money to a relevant institution or charitable organization in the Editor-in-Chief's name.

Associate Editor

The Associate Editor is the senior member of our editorial team. The term of Associate Editor is 2 years and can be renewed.

Duties:

  • Assisting the Editor-in-Chief: Regularly assisting the Editor-in-Chief in dealing with journal-related work, including but not limited to determining the aim and scope of the journal, recruiting and managing the Editorial Board, and chairing one Editorial Board meeting every year.
  • Controlling the quality of articles: Participating in the pre-check, peer review, and final decision-making for submissions, supervising the quality of peer reviews, and assisting the Editor-in-Chief in making the final decision on manuscript acceptability.
  • Enhancing the impact of the journal: Promoting the journal to enhance its impact, including but not limited to introducing the journal in academic conferences and social media, encouraging at least 3 high-quality articles submitted by scholars to be published in the journal every year (two articles can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges, the other articles can enjoy 50% discounts), attracting more readers, increasing the number of articles published, and improving their citation rate and impact.
  • Communicating closely with journal editors: Engaging in regular communication, either online or offline meetings, with In-house Editors and Editor-in-Chief at least once every season. Guiding the other editors in developing the journal's plans and goals, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and providing suggestions for the pre-selection phase of the databases.
  • Following the best practices in scholarly publishing and handling disputes: Assisting the Editor-in-Chief to ensure the journal follows the best practices in scholarly publishing to avoid issues such as scholarly misconduct. If authors or reviewers dispute review decisions, the Associate Editor needs to assist the Editor-in-Chief in addressing and resolving these disputes.

Privileges:

  • During the term of Associate Editor, two manuscripts recommended by the Associate Editor can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges every year, and the other recommended manuscripts can enjoy 50% discounts. Once the journal is indexed by Scopus, EI, or ESCI databases, three manuscripts recommended by the Associate Editor can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges every year, and the other recommended manuscripts can enjoy 70% discounts.
  • Associate Editor certificate.
  • A reward of 200 USD would be given per time when the Associate Editor promotes the journal in his/her PPT during academic conferences.
  • The Associate Editor, who has made an outstanding contribution to the journal, will be advertised on our website and social media, and awarded at least 800 USD in December of the year. Otherwise, the Editorial Office would donate an equivalent amount of money to a relevant institution or charitable organization in the Associate Editor's name.

Editorial Board Member

The term of Editorial Board Member is 2 years and can be renewed.

Duties:

  • Maintaining close communication with the In-house Editors, providing suggestions for the development of the journal, and recommending outstanding scholars in the same field to collaborate with the journal.
  • Advising on the development of the aim and scope of the journal to make sure it aligns well with the hot topics in the field and the published content of the journal.
  • Determining the aim and scope of Topical Collections, serving as Guest Editor, and creating one Topical Collection for the journal every year to attract high-quality manuscripts in the field.
  • Contributing one article or recommending one high-quality article to the journal every year.
  • Actively promoting the journal, increasing its citation rate and impact through academic conferences and social media.
  • Conducting the pre-check for at least 5 submissions received by the journal every year to determine whether the manuscripts can be sent for peer review, and making the final decision based on the review reports and the authors' revised versions to determine whether the manuscripts can be accepted for publication.

Privileges:

  • During the term of Editorial Board Member, three manuscripts contributed or recommended by the Editorial Board Member can enjoy the full waiver of article processing charges every year, and the other recommended manuscripts can enjoy 70% discounts.
  • Articles recommended by Editorial Board Members for Topical Collections can enjoy 50% discounts.
  • Editorial Board Member certificate.
  • A reward of 200 USD would be given per time when the Editorial Board Member promotes the journal in his/her PPT during academic conferences.
  • The Editorial Board Member, who has made an outstanding contribution to the journal, will be advertised on our website and social media, and awarded at least 500 USD in December of the year. Otherwise, the Editorial Office would donate an equivalent amount of money to a relevant institution or charitable organization in the Editorial Board Member's name.

Reviewer Board Member

Duties:

  • Reviewing at least 5 manuscripts every year in relevant research areas.
  • Maintaining active communication with In-house Editors and responding within 2 working days on the acceptability of assigned manuscripts for review.
  • Completing the 1st round of review for the assigned manuscripts within 10 working days and the review of the assigned revised manuscripts within 3 working days.
  • Following the double-blind peer review policy and process of open access journals, maintaining objectivity, fairness, and impartiality, providing detailed, professional, and constructive review comments.

Privileges:

  • Reviewer Board Member Certificate.
  • The reviewer's name would appear on the journal's reviewer acknowledgment at the beginning of each year.
  • For each manuscript reviewed, the reviewer would receive an APC coupon of 100 USD for the journal (valid for two years), which is cumulative, giftable, and only applicable for submissions to this journal in the future.
  • Chances to become the outstanding reviewer for an award and publicity for outstanding reviewers on the journal's website and social media.
  • For reviewing more than five manuscripts every year, a reward of at least 200 USD is given to the reviewer each December.

Collection Editor

Collection Editors Refer to exceptional senior experts who are senior experienced in one certain field and lead and co-lead a Topical Collection.

Duties:

  • Contributing at least one paper to the Topic Collection.
  • Soliciting papers from your peers to be published in this Topical Collection and take advantage of the high publicity of open access, a rapid, high quality peer-review process, and immediate publication after acceptance.
  • Checking the suitability of abstracts/manuscripts submitted to the Topical Collection.
  • Making a pre-check decision regarding whether to send a new submission to peer-review.
  • Making a final decision regarding whether to accept or reject a paper based on peer review outcomes.

Privileges:

  • A recognition certificate as a Collection Editor.
  • Publishing one paper free of charge in your Topical Collection.
  • Inviting high quality papers to be published in your Topical Collection with certain discounts.

Topical Advisory Board

The Topical Advisory Board consists of experienced researchers and early career researchers who are eager to gain editorial experience. We invite early career researchers who currently hold an independent research position in academia or a government institute to apply for a position on the Topical Advisory Board. As a member, they will provide support to Collection Editors and Editorial Board Members. Each year, the performance of the members is evaluated, and exceptional members may be promoted to the Editorial Board by the Editor-in-Chief.

The main responsibilities of the Topical Advisory Board members include:

  • Setting up at least one Topical Collection within two years of the appointment. Collaborations on Topical Collections with other established researchers are encouraged, and are mandatory for early career researchers. The topic of the proposal should be within the scope of the journal. The scope of the Topical Collection should be broad enough to attract a reasonable number of submissions but narrow enough to provide a cohesive collection of articles. The Topical Collection should cover a small part of the scope of the journal, but not the whole.
  • Providing a detailed strategy plan for the Topical Collection, including assisting in preparing the Topical Collection’s title, aim and scope, summary, and keywords, in addition to soliciting papers and promoting the Topical Collection.
  • Supervising the peer-review procedure of articles submitted to the Topical Collection.
  • Providing support for Topical Collections related to your expertise when the Collection Editor(s) is not available. This includes Topical Collection promotion via social media and giving advice on some scientific cases.
  • Promoting the journal at conferences (adding one–two slides into your presentation, distributing flyers, recommending the journal to your colleagues, etc.), on social media, and on other relevant platforms.

The main privileges of the Topical Advisory Board members include:

  • A recognition certificate as a Topical Advisory Board member.
  • Publishing one paper free of charge in your Topical Collection each year.
  • Inviting high quality papers to be published in your Topical Collection with certain discounts.

To qualify as a Topical Advisory Board member, applicants must:

  • Have expertise and experience in a field related to the journal;
  • Have at least five published papers in the last 5 years as a first author or corresponding author;
  • Currently hold an independent research position in academia or a government institute.

Editorial Procedure

The journals in UK Scientific Publishing Limited adopt a strict double-blind peer review process, reviewers and authors will remain anonymous throughout the process and peer review comments will not be made public. Reviewers recommended by the authors will not be accepted for peer review .

The flowchart below gives a summary of the editing process.

  1. Submission

After the article is submitted, our Editorial Office will check it first, and only the manuscripts that pass the check will be assigned to in-house editors for further processing.

  1. Pre-check

We will invite our Academic Editor (Editorial Board or Collection Editor) to evaluate the manuscript to see if the manuscript can be directly sent to peer review. Three results may occur: reject /author revision / continue to peer-review.

  1. Under review

Under the stage of peer review, the in-house editors will invite senior experts in the relevant field to provide us with a scientific review. After receiving sufficient review reports, we will transfer the comments to authors to revise their manuscript accordingly. 

  1. Author Revision

We will grand author 14 days for a major revision, and 7 days for a minor revision.

  1. Revised Version Review

PDF version of author 's revised version (with track changes) and responses to reviewers will be sent to previous reviewers for a revised review if needed.

  1. Final Decision

If no specific comments were left, we will invite the Academic Editors to make a final evaluation on the manuscript, and decide if the manuscript need further revision, or should be rejected, or can be accepted in the current form.

  1. Accept and Publication

The in-house editors will do the layout and help improve the quality of the language of the paper. After that, we will invite authors to do a final proofreading, and publish the manuscript online once all issues are settled.
